The island of Rab is part of the Kvarner Bay archipelago in the northern Adriatic Sea. Apart from small town of Rab on the island is also 7 other idyllic places which are located in different parts of the island: Barbat, Banjol, Palit, Kampor, Mundanije, Rab and Lopar.

Rab is an island and town of beautiful and diverse beaches, rich cultural environment of pre-Roman times marked with 4 towers, island of marvelous nature and landscape diversity, but also the island of rich historic heritage and tradition in organized tourism over 130 years. The island of Rab has approximately 9000 inhabitants who are mostly engaged in agriculture, fishing and tourism. The tradition of organized tourism on the island is more than 130 years and was started acting “Society for the promotion of the island and its environment”, which was founded in 1889.

Reasons for the development of tourism on the island that are still current are: pleasant climate, favorable conditions of the island, which benefit respiratory diseases and heart. Such a long tradition of providing high quality services that are offered, not just the result of skill, experience and hospitality of the islanders, which is transmitted from generation to generation, but also a result of the establishment of “Tourist School” which today is highly valued and in which the people of Rab are proud .
